It's Monday...and What's Goin On?

Hi Guys!

Sorry...I took the weekend off!  I had a great time.  Sorry there's no pics of me, but hey.....my hair was a mess!  Ha!

So Dad has this meeting tomorrow down in Hollywood with Vince Vaughn's Mother, Shea.  Shea has this really cool business called Sheanetics.  Here's her website:   http://www.sheanetics.com/about/ .  He and his friend Bill who owns Bill Owen Design http://www.billowendesign.com/ are going to talk with her tomorrow about expanding her HealthyInitiatve to combat Diabetes into California.

I wish I could go but they told me that it wasn't a doggy trip....at least this time!

I'll tell you guys more about everything tomorrow!

What Do You Do To Stay Warm? It's a Fashion Show !

Dad told me I shouldn't complain about the weather because we have a lot of friends in other places that are a lot colder than here on the Coast!

Us Boxer Dudes and Dude-ettes don't like being too cold or too hot!  I think we should all get together and break open our Kitty Kat banks,

Vintage Kitty Ceramic Glass Coin Piggy Bank Yellow W/ Black Stripes Cat SO CUTE!

put all of our allowances together and buy an Island somewhere that stays nice all year!

So, let's put on a Boxer Fashion Show!

What do you pups all do to stay warm?

I'll send a special gift to the Boxer Buddy that I think has the best stay warm and cuddly idea!

Show me yours....cause here's mine!

Have a Woofy day!

Beef and Vegetable Balls

Ingredients
  • 2 6-ounce jars of organic beef and vegetable baby food
  • 1 cup of whole-wheat flour (or white substitute)
  • 2 cups of dry milk
  • 1 cup of water
Directions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Mix all of the ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Drop the mixture onto a baking sheet in large spoonfuls.
  4. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes.
  5. Allow to the treats to cool completely. Store leftover beef and vegetable balls in the fridge for up to five days.
Now...to get started!  Gather all the stuff you need like this:

I Just Refuse To Do Mornings, Unless I Have To!

I Just Hate Mornings!

This was me a little earlier this morning

So, I took a few days off over that Thanksgiving thing.  That's the day where Dad makes himself really, really crazy in that room with the hot box thing and the cold box thing (where he keeps my food) and seems to drink a lot of red stuff from what he calls a "Juice Box" !

I am back at my desk checking emails, tweets and comments and will get back to all of you soon!

In the mean time.....I could really use a fresh bone!

Over The River.....and Down the Tile Floor?

So, Dad and I are at Grandma's for the weekend.  There was lots to eat.

Dad fixed one of these:

...and one of these:

I got some for dinner!

But I did kind of a bad thing!  One of my favorite things to do is to help clean up the kitchen.  Really, I clean the plates when they are put in that washing thingy.  Well, last night I was being my usual helpful self when my collar got caught in the rack.  I couldn't get it loose.  I backed away and that rack thing pulled right out of the washy thing and hit the floor.  It scared me!  I started down the hall with it still hooked to me.  I couldn't get it loose!  There were broken dishes all over the place and I got yelled at.

I haven't been back in the kitchen since and I don't think I will help clean up the kitchen anymore!

You all have a great weekend!

Been A Busy Day!

Sorry for not getting back to you all sooner, but it's been a busy day!

Dad and I got the yard work done and I found a few bushes that I hadn't checked on!  Well, ok, they needed to be pee'd on, but I'm trying to be nice here!

Cousin Scooter came over last night...she is such a ham!  She'll do anything for a cookie....even pose for pictures!  I'm trying to break her of that, but she likes her cookies as much as I like my bones!  Check out these pics!  Good Heavens!  People call me a ham!

So her Mom has all of these clothes for her....what's wrong  with just being a regular dog and sniffing butt ?
More tomorrow my friends....Dad's been in the kitchen for three days!

My best and Woofers!

Back At The Other House and There's Fun To Be Had !

It Was A Long Trip!  Now I'm Relaxing With Some TV !

Dad says that tomorrow we are making cookies.  MY SPESHUL cookies!  I haven't had them in a while.  They are really good!  He gave me the recipe to share with all of you!  Share some with me if you have too many and be sure to let me know if you like them!

Here it is:

Peanut Butter Cookies

Ingredients
  • 2 cups of flour (white or wheat, if your pup has no wheat allergies)
  • 1 cup of rolled oats
  • 1/3 cup of smooth peanut butter
  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • 1/2 tablespoon of fish oil
  • 1 1/2 cups of water
Directions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Mix the flour and oats together in a large mixing bowl. Pour in one cup of water and blend until smooth. Add in the peanut butter, honey, and fish oil and mix until all the ingredients are well blended.
  3. Slowly add the water until the mixture has a thick and doughy consistency.
  4. Lightly flour a cooking surface. Roll the dough onto the cooking surface to create a 1/4 inch thick sheet.
  5. Use a cookie cutter to create shapes. Place the cookies onto a baking sheet and bake for 40 minutes.
  6. Allow to cool completely before feeding.

Moving Day.Sort Of !

Woof!  It's Max again!

So yesterday I told you that me and my Dad split our time between the California Coast and the Central Valley.  Well my doggy friends, today is moving day.

Dad tells me we are going back to the other place to do something called Thanksgiving.  I think I remember that day from last year.  There were lots of people and my Cousins Sissy and Scooter Marie......Scooter's real name is Maxie Mae, but she Scoots around the house a lot so I call her Scooter.  Sissy is a little Doxie.  She can be fun.....sometimes!  There were lots of good smell too, but it all tastes like those bone things that come out of  a box that I get when I'm good.  Hmmm....I guess my Dad likes those too.

Speaking of bones....Dad got me hooked on these things:

I think they are called Gnawhides or something.  All I know is that I LIKE THEM.  If you ever taste them you'll know!  Those ring goodies go on the bone somehow.  I don't have thumbs or I could do it myself.  But, that's what Dad's for!

Now, sometimes Dad forgets to fill it for me.  Did you know that if you pick up the big bone thing and drop it on his foot it gets filled?   It works for me!  If that doesn't work, I start talking.  If that doesn't work, I bark.  That works too.  I can't get enough of them!  I want more!

I have to go now.  Dad says that my laptop has to be packed away and then we are getting in that big truck thing and going away.  These days exhaust me!

Thanks for keeping up with me and I'll talk to you all later!

Woofers !

So, welcome to my Blog!  I'm Maxwell von Dawg.....Max, for short and I am
the Boxer with a Blog!

First, a little about me.....I'm about 6 years old, a male flashy fawn with four white feet and a blaze on my forehead (sorry ladies, I'm not available....well, ok, I'm neutered, but "not available"{ sounds better!) and I live with my Dad, Bob.  We split our time between the California Coast and the Central Valley.

My Dad found me through Northern California Boxer Rescue.  He tells everyone that he rescued me, but just between us, it is the other way around.  I am here strictly for his care and feeding and he is around strictly to pick up after me.  You know, my toys, my bones, the yard (Hey, I'm a dog and you get the picture!)

When we are at the place on the Coast I take him for walks on the beach so he can find shells, get sand in places it probably shouldn't be then around the neighborhood so I can show him off to all the neighbors.  If he's been really good, I let him brush me and then feed me.  I even let him share the big bed with me!

In the coming days, I want to share with you a little about my life, what I do and how I roll.  It only seems fair, I've held it in long enough!

Oh, my Dad, Bob is turning out to be a pretty decent photographer and he has a good friend Bill who is putting together a website for him.  I saw the draft thing and it looked pretty good, but hey, I'm a dog and I was busy with a bone...what do I know about pictures from a fresh bowl of my favorite kibble?  I'll tell you all about it when it's up and running.

Ok....I think it's time for me to let my Dad out to do what ever the heck it is he does out in the back yard....maybe I'll join him!

Thanks for visiting and check back, y'all!

Woofers!
Max

PS:  Oh, here are links to two of my favorite clips from that You Tube thing .... think I should do one too ?
