Confessions of a Bed Hog - I Love Being One!

OK my 4-legged friends, you'll have to pay attention here...maybe get your humans to draw you pictures.

I am a Bed Hog !

There I said it and I AM PROUD OF IT !

Let me share my techniques with you guys.  If you have any suggestions, let me know!

The easiest thing to do is to claim your space right after your people have made their big soft bed and don't leave!  This pretty much guarantees that you'll get to stay!  Well, maybe not where you started out, but you'll get to stay!

I do it like this.........

If your humans come in and try to move you all you need to do is give them "the look" .  Mine is kinda like this .....

See my eyes?  That's not just something I do for that flashy box thing Dad uses to take pictures!  It's my look that gets me anything I want!  A Cookie......A new Toy....or yeah, even a place on the Bed!  For some reasons my humans can't resist that look!  Try it!  It works!

Now, this next one is kind of tricky because there aren't any pictures...this is where your human's (Or the Kat) might have to draw you a picture!

First, let your humans get onto that big soft bed and let them get snuggled in.

Second, jump up carefully and lay down.

Next, when one of them rolls over you move closer.  They will move again because it's easier than booting you off.  When they do....you move closer again!

By the middle of the night, you have the whole big soft bed and they have the space of your food bowl to sleep in!  If you are lucky, you'll get all of those warm covery things too!

What do you guys do to take over the bed?

Max is Back !

Hi everyone!  I'm back!  Hope you all had a great Christmas and a Happy New Year!  I took some time off so let's catch up!

Spent Christmas with Cousin Scooter.  You remember her, she's really Maxie Mae, but I call her Scooter.  Here's her Christmas outfit!

I know, I know!  She's cute...and she knows it!  Sheesh!

Not to be out done, here's mine....much less showy, but I'm really not a glitzy kind of guy!  My Grandma made the scarf!  It's way easier to do doggy stuff in....like chase birds and bark at the neighbors!

Let's see...what else?  Oh yeah!  Dad and his friend took me to that sandy place they call the beach....

I love going there!

Here I am playing in the sand!

This is why we all went to the Beach place.....they told me it was a good day for taking pictures of the big orange ball in the sky....

I did lots more stuff, but I am kind of in a rush today, so I'll write more later!  Thanks for visiting me!

Don't forget to check out some new places that Dad likes like on that laptop thing of his!

It's Monday...and What's Goin On?

Hi Guys!

Sorry...I took the weekend off!  I had a great time.  Sorry there's no pics of me, but hey.....my hair was a mess!  Ha!

So Dad has this meeting tomorrow down in Hollywood with Vince Vaughn's Mother, Shea.  Shea has this really cool business called Sheanetics.  Here's her website:   http://www.sheanetics.com/about/ .  He and his friend Bill who owns Bill Owen Design http://www.billowendesign.com/ are going to talk with her tomorrow about expanding her HealthyInitiatve to combat Diabetes into California.

I wish I could go but they told me that it wasn't a doggy trip....at least this time!

I'll tell you guys more about everything tomorrow!

What Do You Do To Stay Warm? It's a Fashion Show !

Dad told me I shouldn't complain about the weather because we have a lot of friends in other places that are a lot colder than here on the Coast!

Us Boxer Dudes and Dude-ettes don't like being too cold or too hot!  I think we should all get together and break open our Kitty Kat banks,

Vintage Kitty Ceramic Glass Coin Piggy Bank Yellow W/ Black Stripes Cat SO CUTE!

put all of our allowances together and buy an Island somewhere that stays nice all year!

So, let's put on a Boxer Fashion Show!

What do you pups all do to stay warm?

I'll send a special gift to the Boxer Buddy that I think has the best stay warm and cuddly idea!

Show me yours....cause here's mine!

Have a Woofy day!

Cookin With Dad !

Gettin ready to cook me some goodies with Dad!

So, sometimes I like me some homemade stuff...those dry bones in a box don't always work!  Oh, and some Pups like those chef's hats....NOT ME!

Here's the recipe courtesy of my friends at moneycrashers.com :

Beef and Vegetable Balls

Ingredients
  • 2 6-ounce jars of organic beef and vegetable baby food
  • 1 cup of whole-wheat flour (or white substitute)
  • 2 cups of dry milk
  • 1 cup of water
Directions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Mix all of the ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Drop the mixture onto a baking sheet in large spoonfuls.
  4. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes.
  5. Allow to the treats to cool completely. Store leftover beef and vegetable balls in the fridge for up to five days.
Now...to get started!  Gather all the stuff you need like this:

Then watch Pops closely while he makes them!

MORE TOMORROW!

I Just Refuse To Do Mornings, Unless I Have To!

I Just Hate Mornings!

This was me a little earlier this morning

So, I took a few days off over that Thanksgiving thing.  That's the day where Dad makes himself really, really crazy in that room with the hot box thing and the cold box thing (where he keeps my food) and seems to drink a lot of red stuff from what he calls a "Juice Box" !

I am back at my desk checking emails, tweets and comments and will get back to all of you soon!

In the mean time.....I could really use a fresh bone!

Over The River.....and Down the Tile Floor?

So, Dad and I are at Grandma's for the weekend.  There was lots to eat.

Dad fixed one of these:

...and one of these:

I got some for dinner!

But I did kind of a bad thing!  One of my favorite things to do is to help clean up the kitchen.  Really, I clean the plates when they are put in that washing thingy.  Well, last night I was being my usual helpful self when my collar got caught in the rack.  I couldn't get it loose.  I backed away and that rack thing pulled right out of the washy thing and hit the floor.  It scared me!  I started down the hall with it still hooked to me.  I couldn't get it loose!  There were broken dishes all over the place and I got yelled at.

I haven't been back in the kitchen since and I don't think I will help clean up the kitchen anymore!

You all have a great weekend!

Woofers!
